For sale is a 1951 example of the J.C. Higgins 30-06 which is co-branded Sears and Roebuck. This model has a Mauser action produced by Fabrique Nationale at the time. This rifle also has a significant amount of engraving work done on it. This rifle was my grandfather's and was used solely for hunting deer and elk. It was given to me 20+ years ago and it's time to let it go. I'm selling the rifle, not the memories.
The two front screws holding the original scope have twisted and broken off during removal. A gunsmith can re-tap these for a new scope.
I can meet at Centennial Gun Club or any gun shop in the Denver Metro area (preferably south) to complete the transfer.
Asking $800. Thanks for looking.
Mind messaging me? I'd love to discuss this very pretty rifle. Obviously it's well loved and it's super cool. (7one9) 922-6nine31 Text is great or call after 3:30 please (work) or PM on the site if that's an option. Thanks!
Per the group rules can you please write the date on paper and place it next to the firearm. We are doing this to keep scammers away. Thanks for the help. Any post after 24hr of posting will be deleted if not completed. Thanks.
