I'm leaving for my mission and need to make some funds, so unfortunately I have to sell some of my rifles and decided that these two didn't really fit in.
The first one is a Type 38 "School" rifle (6.5 Arisaka). Those are rifles that were taken out of army service so they could be used for teaching about college age men how to shoot live rifles (as opposed to "training" rifles which were only meant to shoot blanks), as shown by its over stamped mum.
This means it can fire actual ammo (although it's recommended to see a gunsmith first to check headspacing just like any other surplus firearm). It stock appears to have been redone, however it still has its school cartouche.
It has a superficial hairline crack on the right side of the wrist and superficial chip in the front Handguard, however these are the only minor issues I found.
I bought a repro sling and dust cover for it as well.
I'm looking for to sell her for $450, and for an additional $50 I'll add the training bayonet as well.
Second gun for sale is a MÁS 36 (7.5 French). It is in perfect external condition, however it's bore is dark, but it has deep perfect rifling. The sling didn't come with the rifle, however it's an original French sling meant for the MÁS 36.
The cleaning rod bayonet is in perfect condition as well.
The parkerization and wood condition is mint.
I am looking to get $700 for the MAS given it's excellent overall condition.
I'm really hoping to recover some of what I put into these rifles so am not super flexible on the price, however feel free to ask!
I'm in Longmont and am willing to go within 40 miles to an FFL (you cover any additional fees like transfer and background).
I can be reached at (303) 261-7485 and would love to answer any questions.
